If you are being called to Remember & Rise, we offer you a day to remember your light, reclaim your peace, and rise rooted in your truth.

Join us in the sacred stillness of the woods for a day of rest, reflection, and reconnection. This is your invitation to slow down, breathe deep, and come home to yourself.

Your Journey Includes:

    Wholesome Foods- Snacks, Lunch, and Dinner. Ending our night with a sweet little treat - S’mores bar!

    Sacred Start Ceremony- Self blessings allow us to take a step back. When we bless ourselves we are not only listening to the dialog that is happening within, but also stepping into our power and encouraging belief in oneself.

  • Self Massage in the Wild- Patti will guide you how to use tools from nature—like smooth stones or handcrafted rollers—plus tips for releasing common tension areas.

    Sound Bath- Enjoy an outdoor sound bath. Immerse yourself in healing sounds (Gongs, singing bowls or other nature inspired instruments) while surrounded by natural elements. This experience has unique therapeutic and physiological advantages.

    Forest Bathing- or Shinrin-Yoku is a restorative practice that invites you to slow down, awaken the senses and reconnect with the natural world. Through guided, mindful walks in the woods, participants experience deep relaxation, reduced stress, and a renewed sense of clarity and peace. It’s not about hiking or exercise- it’s about being, not doing.

    Cacao Ceremony- is a heart -opening ritual using pure ceremonial- grade cacao to support emotional healing, connection, and inner clarity. Guided with intention, it creates space for reflection, gratitude and shared presence.

    Chakra Dance- is a movement based practice that combines freeform dance and breathwork to activate and balance the body’s centers. This movement will connect you to Mother Earth; it is within her grace and beauty you will draw from and begin to Remember!

    Meditation-is important for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety, enhance emotional well-being, and improve overall health. It can help cultivate a sense of calm, peace, and balance, while also boosting cognitive skills and promoting healthy sleep patterns.

    Journaling- Journaling offers a powerful way to enhance mental well-being and personal growth by providing a safe space to process emotions, improve self-awareness, and foster creativity. It can help manage stress and anxiety, boost self-confidence, and even improve memory.

  • August’s full moon is a Sturgeon Full Moon as well as a Super Moon. This ceremony will help you to release and let go of what no longer serves you. It’s about strength, resilience and abundance and a time to celebrate your life and perseverance.

  • Transportation- Transportation to and from the preserve is not provided. It is a 35 minute drive from Watertown. 1.5 hour drive from Syracuse.

    Alcohol- No alcohol will be allowed in the preserve or in the classroom.

    Yoga Mats- We will have a few on hand for sound bath and meditation. We highly encourage you to bring your own mats, pillow and blanket or whatever else you need to be most comfortable!

    Camp chairs- at the close of the evening we will join each other at the fire for our full moon ceremony. If you’d like to bring your own chair for added comfort we encourage you to do so. If you don’t have one, there are picnic tables to sit at.

    Bug spray and sunscreen- please be kind to your skin.

    Change of clothes- It’s not rough terrain but you may want sneakers for trails, personal preference. Nights can be cool in NNY, do you need a sweat shirt and pants? Hat? Sunglasses?

Retreat Sneak Peek: Forest Bathing with Maynestream Magic

Hi, I’m Colleen—photographer, Forest Bathing guide, certified cacao ceremony facilitator, lore crafter, and one of your friendly baristas at The Wellness Cottage!

One of the experiences I’m most excited to share at our upcoming retreat is Forest Bathing—a gentle, mindful walk through the woods that invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature, spirit, and your own sacred rhythm.

Rooted in the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-yoku, this isn’t a hike—it’s a heart-centered journey into presence. It’s where stress softens, the mind quiets, and the deeper voice within begins to rise.

As we tune into the forest’s stillness, we open to more than just peace—we open to the wisdom of the land, the echoes of our ancestors, and the magic waiting beneath our everyday awareness.

Hey everyone!
I'm Casey- Spiritual Coach, Meditation and Reiki Practitioner, and Moon Ceremony holder at The Wellness Cottage crystals.

Life can be heavy between over committing, expectations and time.
Whenever I need a break from everyday life, nature never fails me. The deeper into the forest I go, the more peaceful I feel. My worries fall off of me like a heavy coat, and I can focus my attention on the present moment.

Journaling in nature brings introspection that makes me more aware of myself and my surroundings. It helps me connect with nature and with my true self. It’s a valuable practice that has the power to help us all heal and grow.
